Meet Alantra
Alantra was born in a small country town called Augusta, Ga. At the age of three, she and her family moved overseas
where she lived in England, Germany, Japan, and Italy. Alantra was destined for greatness. She won her first beauty pageant at age two and began singing as a child in church. In later years during middle school and high school, she would sing at various functions such as basketball and football games as well as at retirement ceremonies. As a young adult, she would sing covers of various popular songs.
As fate would have it, a local group from her area saw a video she did and invited her to come to a recording studio. She was reluctant at first, but within two years she got over her fears and went down to the studio. “God is the one that pushed me to get over my fears as I rebuilt myself from life situations dealing with friends, family, and relationships,” stated Alantra.
“I say that because my music will shock the world. I have a new sound that people are not used to. What I am doing is different and it is going to stand out. It has a different feel to it. “She adds that her music is authentic feel-good music and makes you want to move. “I want listeners to see where I’m coming from, what I’m currently going through, and what I aspire to be and want to be,” states Alantra. “The world is getting ready to see who I am, where I come from, and what I believe in and I want them to come on the whole journey with me.”
One of Alantra ’s main inspirations is her five-year-old son. “He is one of the most important parts of me,” she stated. What word of wisdom does she want to impart to her fans and music listeners in general? “Keep going, even when you’re doubting yourself or feel that the people around you don’t believe in you,” states Alantra.
“When you feel like you’re all alone, just keep going and pushing yourself. Greater is the reward when you reach those milestones. You can feel the growth and you see the growth in yourself. So just keep going, keep pushing, and don’t fret.”
